How does it work?

How Coaches comes to life

  1. Mentor Monday with Starbucks

We have partnered with Starbucks to launch Mentor Monday events across 15 cities in the U.S. These events, hosted at Starbucks stores, connected local LinkedIn members with young adults and veterans for career conversations. Ultimately, Mentor Monday engaged 400 participants at 20+ events.

  2. Yellow Ribbon Project

We hosted 12 formerly incarcerated job seekers in partnership with the Yellow Ribbon Project in Singapore. The 12 participants are recipients of a scholarship program under the Yellow Ribbon Project, and are currently pursuing their tertiary education or have recently graduated. Through a Coaches event, we connected each participant with a LinkedIn Coach to discuss their career paths and expand their professional networks.

  3. Hiring Our Heroes transition summits

Through our partnership with the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, 20 LinkedIn employees from across the Bay Area participated in the Hiring Our Heroes transition summit on a military base south of Seattle. Over two days, the employees provided one-to-one coaching to hundreds of service members, veterans, and military spouses and even participated in a morning workout with a US Army unit on base.

  4. Jewish Vocational Services

Every month, our San Francisco office hosts job seekers from JVS, a local nonprofit supporting people build in-demand skills and broaden their professional networks. Employees support job seekers in practicing essential interview skills, building their LinkedIn profiles, and communicating their professional brand. To date, over 250 JVS job seekers have engaged in our program.
